Halloween is right around the corner, and thousands of revelers with lanterns will get together for an unforgettable nighttime spectacle.
At Lantern Fest, before sundown, friends and families can enjoy food, live music, a stage show, princesses, face painting, s’mores, balloon artists and more. Then, when the time is just right we will light the sky with our highest hopes and fondest dreams.
On October 27, the last weekend of the month will be Halloween themed so come dressed to impress.
Gates open at 3:00 p.m. and lanterns will be released an hour after sunset.

Our lanterns are custom made to have short burn times at low temperatures. Once released the fuel cell will burn for a short time and once extinguished return to the ground cool and safe.
The lanterns are made of rice paper and bamboo so they are biodegradable.
Additionally, precautions are made so that the lanterns will not catch on fire. They are sprayed with an anti-burn chemical reducing hazards.
A clean-up will commence after the venue. Lantern Fest prides itself on cleanup and is dedicated to leaving Albuquerque in clean condition.
