People are gearing up for the Toys for Tots Motorcycle Run.
It’s now in its 14th year and is a great way to kick off the seasonal drive to bring joy to underprivileged kids, who might otherwise go without holiday gifts.
Local Toys for Tots Campaigns are the heart and soul of the Marine Toys for Tots Program managed by dedicated United States Marines and local volunteers.
Your Local Campaign is the best source of Toys for Tots information on how to give and receive support in your community.
The motorcycle run is the kick-off event for the Toys for Tots Season. Paul Caputo, Asst. Coordinator, Toys for Tots, says this is a very large event and this is the 14th year.
Paul tells New Mexico Living that the big motorcycle run will happen Sunday, October 21st at the Walmart near highway 528 at Enchanted Hills in Rio Rancho.
Sign-ins at 9 a.m., and kickstands up by 12:30 p.m.
Paul expects to beat last years participation of 2,300 motorcyclists.
The event will wrap up at the Thunderbird Harley Davidson at 500 Alameda next to I-25 in Albuquerque. There will be an after party with free food and a live band.
