Operators of The Dapper Doughnut say it’s a Game Changer for Local Doughnut Scene

The dapper doughnut just had its grand opening at Coronado Mall this past Friday. That is a game changer for Albuquerque’s doughnut scene.

TDD makes mini-doughnuts, and you actually see them being made right before your eyes. Then, you get to choose from more than 20 toppings and have them custom-decorate your doughnuts right in front of you.

It is a true “interactive dessert” experience like no other.

The owners are entrepreneurs and doughnut-lovers Michelle and Craig McGregor.

They’re thrilled to open their family-owned business – The Dapper Doughnut – in Coronado Mall, and contribute to the city’s economy.

The Dapper Doughnut was inspired by co-founder Jeff Pappas’ childhood memories of the delicious doughnuts at Schultz’s Farm in Armonk, NY.

A food and beverage and franchise expert, Pappas wanted to create a doughnut franchise that honored the tastes and memories of those sweet creations.

In 2015, he teamed up with Jimmy Nuccio and Gabriel Wiesen of Chicago’s award-winning Beavers Coffee & Donuts, and The Dapper Doughnut was born.

The franchise now has almost 30 locations throughout the United States, with one slated to open soon in Canada.
