The ABQ TO DO Crew has Plenty of Ideas

The ABQ TO DO crew has plenty of ideas as people gear up for the weekend, from the South Valley Marigold Parade, Steel Magnolias at Popejoy Hall, to Friday Night Fun at three Community Centers in Bernalillo County.

Celebrate Dia de Los Muertos with the 26th Annual South Valley Marigold Parade and Celebration this Sunday.

This beloved parade has honored loved ones for 26 years in Albuquerque’s South Valley. The parade and celebration feature music, altars, food and art vendors at the Westside Community Center located on Isleta Blvd.

The parade begins at 2 p.m. starting at the Bernalillo Sheriff’s Sub Station and ending at Westside Community Center.

Come in your best Calavera attire. The event is November 4 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Popejoy Presents Steel Magnolias.

Six resilient women bond over love, laughter, and loss in the radio play, Steel Magnolias. The L.A. Theatre Works production is a compelling mix of humor and empathy based on a true story. The playwright, Robert Harling, wrote Steel Magnolias to honor his sister who loses her battle with diabetes.

Tickets are on sale at popejoypresents.com/steelmagnolias

The show is performing this Sunday, Nov. 4 at 3 p.m.
