‘Atomic Histories’ at NM History Museum

New Mexico is widely known as the birthplace of the atomic bomb.  Yet, our state’s history goes much further than the “secret city” of Los Alamos and Trinity.

“Atomic Histories: Remembering New Mexico’s Nuclear Past” explores the comprehensive, complex and controversial saga of nuclear energy in the Land of Enchantment.

Featuring archival photographs, artifact, and videography from multiple museums, including the Bradbury Science Museum, the Los Alamos History Museum, The Atomic Heritage Foundation and the National Museum of Nuclear Science & History, this unique exhibition follows the narrative from the dawn of the nuclear age to current -and future- endeavors.
