The Blake at Taos Ski Valley is the long-awaited centerpiece of the Taos Ski Valley base area redevelopment. The 80-room lodging property provides New Mexicans with a nearby and unforgettable, year-round, boutique hotel destination.
Director of Residential Planning at Taos Ski Valley Stephen Rose visited the set of New Mexico Living to discuss the ultimate mountain destination.
Last winter was the hotel’s first full ski season open to the public and it is sure to please with unique architecture, design, artwork, service and cuisine.
The design of The Blake was originally envisioned by Ernie Blake who dreamt of a European village merging with Hispanic and Native American cultures in Taos. The cultures’ influence can be seen in every detail of the establishment and even in their art displays including a collection with works by Georgia O’Keeffe and the Taos Society of Artists.
The Spa and Wellness Center at The Blake is the only one of its kind offering an array of treatments inspired by native cultures of Northern New Mexico including the sacred directions, colors and energies.
