2019 marks the 50th anniversary of Big Brother Big Sisters in New Mexico which is now the top mentoring organization in the state, providing one-to-one guidance for kids in our communities.
Duffy Swan is an original mentor and was there 50 years ago when it all began. Big Brothers Big Sisters needs mentors who can make a big difference in the lives of others.
Big Brothers Big Sisters serves over 2,800 New Mexico youth and have three affiliates, each with multiple field offices in the state. The organization helps youth realize their potential and build their futures. Big Brothers Big Sisters makes meaningful and monitored matches between adult volunteers and children ages 6 through 18. Their aim is to develop positive relationships that have a lasting effect on lives.
