The City of Albuquerque is hosting its first year “One ABQ” Youth Job & Volunteer Fair. Youth attendees will discover both employment and volunteer opportunities throughout the community. Candidates will also apply for positions on-site, meet with hiring managers, and attend informational breakout sessions that will provide a jump start on a career and educational development.
Youth ages 14 to 25 are encouraged to attend the event however, the City of Albuquerque also hires prominent private employers as well so everyone is welcome to attend. Employers such as Albuquerque Fire Rescue, Albuquerque Police Department, Cultural Services, Parks & Recreation, Solid Waste Management and New Mexico Workforce Solutions are just a few of the organizations attending.
The Fair will take place Saturday, February 2, 2019, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Albuquerque Convention Center. Free parking will also be available for attendees on the guest level of the underground Civic Plaza parking lot. Paid parking will also be available at the Convention Center Parking Structure.
