Taos area wilderness guide leads adventures with pack of rescue llamas

If you’re an outdoor enthusiast, there is fun and educational wilderness experiences for locals and visitors alike. Taos area wilderness guide Stuart Wilde leads hiking and camping trips with a team of rescued pack llamas.

Wilde’s outdoor recreation and ecotourism company, Wild Earth Llama Adventures, provides fun and educational wilderness experiences for both locals and visitors; and was listed in TripAdvisor’s Top Ten Tours in America.

Currently, there are 36 rescued llamas at Wilde’s rescue ranch, north of Taos and you can help support them during the 9th Annual Llama Rescue Adventure Raffle. One hundred percent of the funds raised will go towards the feed and care, vet bills, and facility upgrades, for their herd of rescued llamas.

This prize of this year’s Llama Rescue Adventure Raffle is a four-day/three night Taos adventure vacation for two; featuring three nights at Casa Gallina Artisan Inn, whitewater rafting on the Rio Grande with Los Rios River Runners, hot air ballooning with Paradise Balloons, and a Take a Llama to Lunch! Wilderness Day hike, with Stuart and the llamas, out in the New Mexican wilderness.

Tickets are $100, with all proceeds going to benefit llama rescue in NM. Raffle Drawing is January 31 at 5 p.m.
