Harlem Globetrotters making slam dunk appearance at Santa Ana Star Center

The Harlem Globetrotters are known around the world over for their incredible family entertainment, and they are coming to the Santa Ana Star Center in Rio Rancho Friday, March 8 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, March 9, at 2 p.m.

Harlem Globetrotter Orlando “El Gato” Melendez appeared on New Mexico Living Wednesday to discuss the group’s upcoming show.

Founded in 1926 by Abe Saperstein, the team played their very first game on the road in Hinckley, Illinois in 1927. Since then, over 148 million fans from 123 countries and territories across the world have been mesmerized by the team.

Their show has become an entertaining thrill ride of fantastic basketball skills and the chance for families to interact with the best basketball innovators around.
