ABQToDo has family fun events

ABQToDo has many events this weekend. Spring into summer is the first of its kind, One Albuquerque Youth Connect event. The event is intended to connect Albuquerque youth with programming and opportunities available in the summer multiple city departments as well as community organizations will be represented Art activities, food trucks, and live music.

The event is March 9 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Kinky Boots is playing at Popejoy Hall through Sunday at 6:30 p.m. Kenneth Mosley who plays Lola, is an Albuquerque native. Check out Broadway’s huge-hearted, high-heeled hit which also won 6 Tony Awards in 2013 including Best Musical.

Bernalillo County Parks & Recreation is collaborating with Rocky Mountain Youth Corps and Valle de Oro on two jobs fairs for summer work, targeting youth ages 15-25, on March 9. Employers include Valle de Oro National Wildlife Refuge’s Youth Conservation Corps, the Rocky Mountain Youth Corps, and Bernalillo County. Youth under 18 interested in applying for the Youth Conservation Corps should bring a parent or guardian.

The event is from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Mountain View Community Center
