Opening day of Turquoise Museum takes place at Turquoise Castle

On Saturday the public can enjoy the beautiful turquoise displays at the Turquoise Castle. Founded in 1993 by the Lowry/Zachary family, the Turquoise Museum’s purpose was to educate and study turquoise, showcasing the world’s most colorful gem.

Jacob Lowry with The Turquoise Museum stopped by to discuss the complex properties of turquoise as a mineral, color, and gemstone and what can be expected while visiting the museum.

After 25 years in Old Town, the Turquoise Museum is moving Downtown into what is now the Turquoise Castle on 2nd Street and Lead Ave.  The opening day of the Turquoise Museum in the Turquoise Castle is Saturday, April 6 and will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
