Big Brothers Big Sisters invites you to ‘Bowl for Kids Sake’

Get ready to be “bowled over” for Big Brothers Big Sisters of New Mexico.  The organization is hosting its annual Bowl For Kids’ Sake bowl-a-thon now through April 27th.

Angela Reed Padilla and David Sherman stopped by the Living Local studios to talk about the fundraising campaigns and how anyone can participate.  Simply set up a donation page through the Big Brothers Big Sisters of New Mexico website, assemble your team, raise funds and have fun.

Proceeds will benefit the organization’s operations, which mentors children through “bigs” in a variety of activities and life-skills engagements. They believe that inherent in every child is the ability to succeed and thrive in life.  With time, effort and compassion, “bigs” can help pave the road to success for their “littles.”

For more than 100 years, Big Brothers Big Sisters has operated under the belief that inherent in every child is the ability to succeed and thrive in life. Most children served by Big Brothers Big Sisters are in single-parent and low-income families or households where a parent is incarcerated. As the nation’s largest donor and volunteer supported mentoring network, Big Brothers Big Sisters makes meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers (“Bigs”) and children (“Littles”).

BBBS is proud to celebrate 50 years of helping children in New Mexico in 2019.
