The best and brightest in high school musical theater will take the spotlight at Popejoy Hall on May 4. The Enchantment Awards honors work above and beyond from high schools throughout the state, with two performers earning the chance to travel to the “Jimmy Awards” in New York City.
Past winners Trey Caperton and Joliana Davidson announced the 2019 nominees for Best Actor and Best Actress, as well as sharing the nominated high schools for Best Production. These and other nominees will all appear at the Enchantment Awards.
The event will feature group and solo performances from respective productions throughout the state. The acting categories will award one male and female performer a trip to compete with other high school students on Broadway for the Jimmy Awards.
