La Montañita Co-op celebrates 29th annual EarthFest in Nob Hill

La Montañita Co-op Food Market is New Mexico’s largest natural and organic community food market. Since 1976, they’ve grown to six retail locations and one of the largest cooperative food distribution centers in the region.

La Montañita Co-op Food Market is inviting everyone to come and celebrate their 29th annual EarthFest. Join the tradition of celebrating the earth behind La Montañita’s Nob Hill store (3500 Central Blvd.) on Saturday, April 20 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free and the whole family is welcome to attend.

Each year La Montañita takes over Silver Ave. between Carlisle and Tulane and makes room for tons of local vendors, social and economic justice organizations, artists, environmental advocacy groups, performers and, of course, La Montañita’s delicious deli foods.

The two-block party has a large stage front and center where attendees can enjoy a variety of performances throughout the day while walking amongst spring starter plants, artwork made right here in New Mexico, area gardening and farming experts and more. With so much going on, be sure to come early and enjoy all that La Montañita Co-op EarthFest has to offer as it celebrates our local community and planet.
