Better Business Bureau hosting shredding event to secure identities

Identity theft is at an all-time high.  Criminals who can easily access sensitive documents can wreak havoc on your personal and professional life.  One way to combat this epidemic is to properly dispose of paperwork with sensitive information.

The Better Business Bureau of New Mexico and southern Colorado will be hosting a free document shredding event on April 2 in honor of Secure your ID Day. The free event will safely shred and dispose of any unwanted paperwork you may have laying around your home or office.  Up to two full bags of documents may be submitted for shredding from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Black Dog Shredding, located at 2800 Vassar Dr., NE in Albuquerque.

the Bureau has been helping people find businesses, brands and charities they can trust for more than 100 years.  in 2018, people turned to BBB more than 173 million times for profiles on more than 5 million businesses.  Their comprehensive services continue to act as an advocate and assistant for the average consumer.
