Going green starts in your neighborhood. Tree New Mexico has partnered with a variety of neighborhood associations to plant trees and expand on beautifying their respective boroughs. They’ll be taking to the streets this weekend to plant dozens of trees.
Reyna Luz Juarez, president of the South San Pedro Neighborhood Association is joined by Betta Eisenberg from Tree New Mexico to talk about Green Path Forward. Championed by members of city council, the program will employ the services of volunteers to plant and adopt trees throughout the metro. The South San Pedro event will take place this Saturday, April 27th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The event is free and completely open to the public. And be sure to mark your calendars for the International District’s CiQlovia happening October 20.
