Art Along the Rio Grande features more than 30 local artists

Art Along the Rio Grande at the Gutierrez Hubbell House takes place Saturday, April 27 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. More than 30 local artists will be there with food trucks, performances and kids activities.

A portion of proceeds from art sales will benefit the Friends of Valle de Oro National Wildlife Refuge and the Hubbell-House Alliance. There is no cost to attend and all are welcome. At the event, over 30 local artist will be selling their artwork focusing on the cultural heritage and ecological significance of the Rio Grande Valley. Local musicians will also be playing live music and food trucks like The Blazing Barn and Pop Fizz will be selling food.

The Hubbell House Alliance and Friends of Valle Del Oro are cooperative non-profits who support their respective government partners, Gutierrez Hubbell House and Valle Del Oro National Refuge. The Gutiérrez-Hubbell House is a 5,700 square foot adobe structure that dates back to the 1860s and symbolizes the mixing of Spanish, Anglo and Native American traditions & cultures during the Territorial Period, 1848-1912.
