Art lovers will enjoy the Placitas Studio Tour

This Mothers Day weekend, you can experience the 22nd Placitas Studio Tour. This annual event gives people an up close, personal look at the work of more than 60 artists and see how their environments allow them to create masterpieces. People are invited to take advantage of this special opportunity. To mark the 22nd year of this highly-regarded tour, brochures and posters will feature a work by Placitas artist Meg Leonard. Ms. Leonard has graciously allowed the Placitas Studio Tour to use her image, “It Was a Very Good Year,” as the cover image for the studio tour brochure.

Placitas is located in the foothills of the Sandia Mountains off I-25 between Albuquerque and Santa Fe. Directions from I-25 are to take Exit #242 and turn east on Highway 165 towards Placitas. Colorful signs will direct you to the studios of your choice. Guests are encouraged to wear walking shoes that can handle the terrain that can change from the diverse studio settings.
