Treat mom to NM Philharmonic concert at the zoo

The New Mexico Philharmonic at the zoo is the perfect Mother’s Day gift. A symphony concert at the zoo has been a tradition for decades.  The Mother’s Day concert at the BioPark Zoo is free. Bring the whole family as Maestro Roger Melone conducts an afternoon filled with musical gems, especially for mom. Food and drinks will be available for purchase, or bring your own picnic lunch, blankets, and chairs!

Mr. Melone is the guest conductor for the May 12 and May 25 concerts. The May 25th concert theme is “A Concert for Champions” to honor veterans. The concert will feature patriotic music and the winners of the Jackie Mcgehee Young Artist Competition, Jane Wei, piano and Abigail Monroe, cello, will be concerto soloists. The May 25 concert is at 8:00 but the gates open at 6:30.
