UNM’s Truman Health Services offers free HIV testing

University of New Mexico’s Truman Health Services is the largest HIV service provider in the state of New Mexico.

It is also the sole patient-centered medical home that provides healthcare for transgender people in New Mexico. It delivers care to patients without fear or discrimination. It serves about 500 transgender individuals (with others knocking on its door every single day). These individuals receive primary care tailored to their unique needs, behavioral healthcare, chiropractor care, massage, and acupuncture.

UNM’s Truman Health Services is seeking opportunities to expand its existing resources to serve more people and further expand to other subpopulations who also experience unnecessary social barriers to accessing care. UNM’s Truman Health Services is looking to hire 24 more team members.

Free HIV testing is available on Tuesdays from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and Thursdays, 12:30 p.m. to  5:00 p.m. There is a volleyball tournament fundraiser, 5/19/2019 at Charlie’s Sandbox.
