PK2 offers tasty cold treats to help beat the heat

There’s nothing better than eating a cold tasty treat on a scorching hot summer day. PK2 Helados, a local family owned business that serves up delicious Mexican frozen treats.

They are committed to using non-GMO cane sugar and fresh fruit as main ingredients in their artisan’s hand made Mexican style ice cream better known as “nieve de garrafa” shaved ice “Raspados” and ice popsicles “Paletas.” They also do not add corn syrup, artificial flavors, colors or preservatives.

PK2 Helados is located at 1100 San Mateo Blvd NE Ste 22 Albuquerque, NM 87110. They are also open Monday-Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Thursday-Sunday from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m.

What does “PK2” stands for? The two letters P and K in Spanish are pronounced “pay” and “kah.” The number 2 is pronounced “dōs”. If you say it fast, it comes out “paykahdōs”, which is spelled in Spanish pecados, which is the word for “sins” in result PK2 Helados = Frozen Sins.
