Bueno Foods celebrates 68 years, partners with ‘Read to Me’ organization

From a small family-owned grocery store to one of the premier producers of Mexican style foods in the southwest, Bueno Foods has come a long way in the last 68 years.

To celebrate the years of service, Bueno Foods is partnering with Read to Me, an organization that provides books to children and adults riding City of Albuquerque buses. Bueno Foods will give 500 bilingual children’s picture books to Read To Me to distribute to all city buses. Benito’s Bizcochitos, published by Arte Publico Press of the University of Houston, is one of four children’s picture books written by one of the owners of Bueno Foods, Ana Baca.

In addition, Bueno Foods is introducing a new line of salsas to commemorate their 68 years in service.

The company manufactures a full line of more than 150 authentic, gourmet-quality, New Mexican and Mexican food products and sells to retail consumers in the Southwestern region of the United States and to restaurants throughout the country. Full-time employees currently number about 300 with a total of about 400 employees during peak seasons.
