The starlet, the leading man, and a love affair that could change lives and make or break careers, it’s the iconic movie turned play. The all-time classic “Singin” in the Rain” is making its way to the Albuquerque Little Theatre.
In silent movies, Don Lockwood and Lina Lamont are a hot item but, behind the scenes, things aren’t always as they appear on the big screen! Meanwhile, Lina’s squeaky voice might be the end of her career in “talking pictures” without the help of a talented young actress to do the talking and singing for her.
The performance has all of the makings of a Tinseltown tabloid headline. Theatergoers can see the performances May 24 through June 16 at the Albuquerque Little Theatre.
Ticket prices start at $25. Go to The Albuquerque Theatre Guild, Albuquerque Little Theatre for more information.
