It’s the oldest and largest flamenco festival outside of Spain. Each June, the National Institute of Flamenco and the University of New Mexico host Festival Flamenco Alburquerque, bringing the finest flamenco artists in the world to Albuquerque. This year the festival features more than 50 Spanish artists, 38 workshops, eight theater performances and more.
Festival artists teach workshops for students and aficionados of all levels, including professionals, throughout the 8-day festival.
There are also four late night tablao shows at Tablao flamenco Albuquerque, the 7th Biennial History and Research Conference, and the Fiesta de Clausura Community Celebration.
