Opera introduced to kids at an early age with positive results

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. KRQE) Opera Unlimited has opened the doors for people to understand music especially opera. It accomplishes this by introducing it to school-aged children throughout New Mexico.

It also operates a day camp during the summer which educates children in the many aspects of theater by producing a play which it presents at the end of the camp. Those with Opera Unlimited say Opera is important for the development in kids, and it’s something they’ll appreciate later in life.

In 1990 a group of professional educators, musicians, and theatrical performers founded Opera Unlimited in the mutual concern that children were lacking more and more in an acquaintance with opera. Unique in its approach, Opera Unlimited is the only non-profit performance company dedicated to the children of New Mexico. Go to Opera Unlimited for more information.
