One of New Mexico’s premier cultural destinations just received a digital facelift, courtesy of New Mexico Highlands University.
As part of an ongoing collaboration with the University, the historic site has recently updated their visitor’s center with an interactive exhibition which tells the story of the Gisewa people -inhabitants to the historic Jemez Valley.
One of the numerous benefits to the new exhibit is its ability to be fluid in the growing narration of history. Archaeologist Ethan Ortega says this technology allows them to continuously update the center without expensive renovations. Therefore, new discoveries can quickly and easily be added to the experience.
The center is open Wednesdays through Sundays from 8:30am-5pm in the scenic Jemez Valley.
