It seems like only yesterday kids were getting out of school for the summer, but before you know it school will be back in session. What better way to get that back-to-school shopping done than during the Tax-Free Weekend?
Tax-Free Weekend allows consumers to shop for most school items as well as clothing, and computers tax-free. This year, Tax-Free Weekend falls on August 2 through August 4.
Personal Stylist for Macy’s Dara Romero explains that the major retailer will be opening early at 9 a.m. that Friday to kick off a weekend of events and activities during the shopping holiday. A variety of food vendors, as well as nonprofit organizations such as Junior Achievement, NDI, Big Brothers Big Sisters, will be at the event.
Macy’s is also supporting the local community by holding a uniform clothing drive. The retailer is asking the community to bring in any gently used uniforms which will then be donated to the APS Clothing Bank.
Dara brought along three models to showcase this year’s back-to-school fashions. To shop the latest Macy’s styles, click here.
