The mission of the Contemporary Hispanic Market is to provide statewide artists an opportunity to show their work and give the casual and serious collector a rare opportunity to meet and visit with some of its most respected Hispanic artists in New Mexico.
Caitlin Padilla is one of the artists in the market. The native New Mexican says her art is an evolution of her journey through navigating connection and relationships, spirituality, ideology and imagination.
Padilla says she pushes herself to understand the ethereal nature of being and the universe. She also says that she is inspired by philosophy, existentialism, emotion, sacred geometry, the interconnectedness of the universe, the feminine ideal and preconceived social structures.
The market is Saturday, July 27 and Sunday, July 28 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event is held on Lincoln Avenue in Santa Fe.
