The Bosque Chile Festival is a celebration of food, art and culture on the Rio Grande. One of the dishes you will be able to taste this year is chile-infused pies all thanks to Las Golondrinas Pie Company.
Las Golondrinas pies are usually fruit pies that are baked from scratch using fresh and mostly local New Mexico ingredients. They primarily sell their pies at the ABQ Downtown Growers Market. This year they will have pies that also have chile in them in honor of the festival.
The Bosque Chile Festival is August 17 at the National Hispanic Cultural Center from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The event will offer entertainment, kids’ activities, arts and crafts vendors, food trucks, beer, wine, agricultural workshops, chef demonstrations and more.
Admission is $5 and children under 5 are free. Click here to learn more about the Bosque Chile Festival.
