Starting in Rio Rancho and traveling to Las Vegas, New Mexico, the Racing Southwest Cruise is the largest automotive cruise in the state. This annual event sees cars of all shapes and sizes hitting the road for a fun-filled day of activities.
If you are a car enthusiast, then this event is the one for you as the cruise is open to all makes, models, and years of vehicles. Festivities will include a morning launch featuring Mayor Gregg Hall at the Santa Ana Star Center in Rio Rancho, a canned food drive for our Lady of Sorrows Church, a car show, and the event will end with a drive-in movie at one of the remaining drive-in theaters in New Mexico.
Hosting cruises for over ten years, Racing Southwest recently outgrew Jemez Springs with their last event estimated to have 3,800 vehicles. This year, the event will begin in Rio Rancho, with an organized roll-out leading vehicles to Las Vegas, New Mexico where festivities will continue.
The event is open to any wheeled vehicle that’s allowed on public streets. The Racing Southwest Cruise 2019 will be held Saturday, August 17, 2019, beginning in Rio Rancho, New Mexico with a car show being held on Bridge Street in Las Vegas from noon until 4 p.m.
