Get gardening tips at Tomato Fiesta

The Albuquerque Area Extension Master Gardeners are people who grow fruits, vegetables, flowers and trees in Bernalillo County.

Every year they hold a Tomato Fiesta which is a fundraiser that features heirloom tomato tastings, a Tomato Cafe with the best BLT in town and activities for kids and more.

The event also features special seminars on gardening with worms, on preserving the harvest and a plant diagnostic clinic with Sarah Moran-Duran who is the Bernalillo County horticulturist. People can also bring in a sample of your problem plant and talk with Sarah about it.

The Tomato Fiesta is August 25 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is located at the Albuquerque Garden Center. The cost is $5 per person and kids under 12-years-old are free.
