Race for advocacy during HIV Walk and 5K Fun Run

Hosted by Albuquerque Pride in conjunction with UNM Truman Health Services, the HIV Walk & 5K Fun Run will help raise funds for organizations who serve people living with HIV in New Mexico. In raising funds, we can financially support efforts made in New Mexico to prevent the spread of HIV and to improve the lives of those living with HIV and AIDS.

President of Albuquerque Pride, Craig LaBerge-Esparza explains the day will kick off with local performers entertaining the crowd at Tiguex Park during race registration in addition to tables and booths from local organizations. Not a runner? No problem, as the fun run is meant for advocacy and community involvement.

This year all funds will benefit Common Bond New Mexico, who strengthens the LGBTQ community of New Mexico through programs and partnerships that serve at-risk sectors of the LGBTQ population.

The HIV Walk and 5K Fun Run takes place on September 22, 2019, at noon at Tiguex Park. For more information on the event, click here.
