Olivia Gatwood’s new book looks at violence against women

“Life of the Party” is a new book written by local Albuquerque native Olivia Gatwood. The book looks at womanhood, and particularly violence against women in a true crime collection that includes work about growing up in Albuquerque, the West Mesa Murders, trauma and abuse.

On Saturday, August 24 Olivia will be in conversation with Gigi Bella, another Albuquerque poet who has performed widely nationally, at the KiMo Theater. There will be a conversation, poems and a book signing.

Tickets are $17, admit one with a signed paperback copy of Life of the Party and the option to add a free date ticket.
