El Papaturro serves up authentic Salvadorian food

El Papaturro is bringing authentic Salvadorian food to New Mexico. El Papaturro is a family-owned business that started three in a half years ago by Patricia and Noe Martinez. The couple’s sons also help out at the restaurant.

The restaurant’s main specialty is pupusas which is a corn tortilla stuffed with many different ingredients. Traditionally it is stuffed with pork, beans and cheese.

El Papaturro is located at 6601 4th Street NW Albuquerque, NM 87107. They are open Tuesday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. On Sunday’s they are open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
