It’s a play that is bringing one of the most famous and bloodiest battles of World War I to the stage. “Observe the Sons of Ulster Marching Towards the Somme” is a poignant piece that deals with each character’s fears and loves as seen through the eyes of a survivor.
Director of the play Marty Epstein explains that the performance was written in 1985 by Frank McGuiness and tells the story of the eight members of the 36 Ulster regiment going into the Battle of the Somme during WWI.
“It’s just a fabulous script with an amazing cast and it’s a really dynamic, intense production. So as an actor, its a lot of fun to do and its gonna be a really great show for audiences as well,” said lead actor Micah McCoy.
