Canteen’s State Fair Pils is flying off the shelves

When State Fair general manager Dan Mourning first heard that Canteen Brewhouse was crafting a new pilsner for the Fair, he was somewhat skeptical. Would the lighter beer encompass the early fall festivities and satisfy the tastes of the annual beer?

The resounding answer was yes.

Canteen’s State Fair Pils has been incredibly popular. So popular, in fact, that the first batch completely sold out. Not to leave their fans thirsty, they are working on their second batch now, hoping to get more on shelves soon.

Canteen Brewhouse is one of the state’s oldest craft brewers, having won numerous awards in the past. They are hoping to continue that winning tradition by submitting this brew to upcoming contests.

The New Mexico State Fair runs through September 15th in Albuquerque.
