Funds needed for memorial wall honoring Vietnam Veterans

Honoring those who lost their lives in the Vietnam War is what the Vietnam Veterans of America New Mexico Northern Chapter 996 strives to do. The chapter is launching a fundraising campaign to construct a half-scale replica of the Vietnam memorial wall.

The wall will consist of granite panels engraved with the 58,318 names who lost their lives fighting for our freedom. Once the memorial is constructed, the engraved granite panels will be donated to New Mexico Department of Veteran Services.

New Mexico lost 398 men and women to the war.

The memorial will go up in Angel Fire, New Mexico hopefully in two to five years. If you wish to donate or get additional information visit www.vietnammemorial.net.
