Tortuga Storytelling Series returns with ‘Recycling Through Life’

Storytellers of New Mexico is dedicated to cultivating an inclusive storytelling experience for all. This month the Tortuga Storytelling Series, which is a collaboration between Storytellers of New Mexico and Tortuga Gallery, returns with a selection of tales on “Recycling through Life”.

Los Alamos storyteller Kimberly Gotches, and Wichita teller Ming Diaz will explore literature and personal stories through folktales and what it is to come back to a place and see it for the first time.

Storytellers of New Mexico was founded in 1997 and is a community-based nonprofit and membership organization that serves storytellers and listeners across New Mexico. STNM provides guidelines to storytellers but does not dictate story choices.

The Tortuga Storytelling Series will be held on Friday, September 13 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Tortuga Art Gallery located at 901 Edith Boulevard SE 87102.

Tickets cost $10 at the door and content is suitable for ages 12 and up. Click here for more information.
