Good Neighbors dedicate themselves to volunteer service

Good Neighbors are realtors and affiliates that are committed to volunteer service and make contributions of both time and money to their charities. The Good Neighbor Award Program recognizes individuals and their charities for their good works and also helps the public understand the positive impact of realtors within the community.

The Greater Albuquerque Association of Realtors is the largest professional trade association in Central New Mexico with nearly 3,900 members pledged to a strict Code of Ethics and Standards of practice.

GAAR is proud to recognize Lamia Faruki, of Vista Encantada Realtors as a Good Neighbor recipient for her work with Creativity for Peace who helps to train young Palestinian and Israeli women to form partnerships as leaders and encourages equality for all.

“It was such an honor to be recognized by my colleagues, my good friends who I’ve worked with for almost 25 years in the real estate industry here in Albuquerque,” said Good Neighbor recipient Lamia Faruki with Vista Encantada Realtors. “It just shows that theres so much meaning in giving back to our community as realtors and doing as much as we can to support all aspects of our community.”

“Its really a wonderful opportunity for young, New Mexican women to interact with our young women from Israel and Palestine who are their same age. We have a number of different programs that bring together New Mexico girls with their peers from Israel and Palestine,” said retired executive directory for Creativity for Peace Dottie Indyke.
