Ironweed Productions presents ‘Water by the Spoonful’

Poignant, shocking, and blisteringly funny, “Water by the Spoonful” is a play that deals with the cost of war as well as the addiction on human lives and the healing power of family.

Ironweed Productions is presenting the work as a collaboration with the Santa Fe Playhouse and Teatro Paraguas. The Pulitzer Prize-winning play by Quaira Alegria Hudes is also part of a three-play cycle, The Elliot Trilogy.

The trilogy spans four generations over 60-years and also includes “Elliot, A Soldier’s Fuge” and “The Happiest Song Plays Last.” The three works follow Elliot Ortiz as he returns from Iraq to his home in Philadelphia.

You can catch “Water By the Spoonful” at the new Second Space at Teatro Paraguas at 3205 A Calle Marie in Santa Fe. The play will run on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from October 3, 2019, through Sunday, October 20, 2019.

Tickets cost $25 for general admission, $15 for students, and $20 for seniors, teachers, and military personnel. Click here to purchase tickets.

On the weekend of October 10, you can see all three plays of The Elliot Trilogy as they run concurrently. Click here to view package deals.
