Albuquerque Hispano Chamber of Commerce empowers individuals through economic growth

The Albuquerque Hispano Chamber of Commerce works to promote economic development, enhance opportunities, and provide business and workforce education. During the month of October, the chamber has a variety of events planned.

“X Marks the Spot” runs during the Balloon Fiesta from October 5 through October 15 and is sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce. Landowners place a large ‘X’ on their property to signal to balloon pilots they can land there. One landowner will be recognized each day and will receive a prize.

Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated from Sunday, September 15 through Tuesday, October 15 and recognizes the contributions of Hispanic and Latino Americans to the history and culture of America.

On October 15, 2019, The State of Hispanic Businesses Forum will be held at the National Hispanic Cultural Center from 5:30 p.m.to 8 p.m. This event will include Mayor Tim Keller and Dr. Gabe Sanchez to discuss the future of Hispanic businesses and entrepreneurs in Albuquerque and New Mexico.

From October 28, through November 3, 2019, the Albuquerque Hispano Chamber of Commerce will hold a trade mission with Mexico City including all trade industries. There will be free business matchmaking provided by the NM Trade of Higher Education Center of Mexico City. The event will be held at the Albuquerque Hispano Chamber of Commerce.

The Chamber will host a Dia de los Muertos Gala Launch Party on November 1, 2019, at the Turquoise Museum from 7:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Attendees will dress in full Calavera style for a night of mystery, music, dancing, and a fashion show.
