From writing a book on New Mexico filmmaking to all of the movies made in the state, author Jeff Berg is quite familiar with Land of Enchantment. His latest book, “100 Things to do in Santa Fe Before You Die” proves it.
Jeff’s first work “New Mexico Filmmaking” highlights the history of movies made in the state. His work goes as far back as 1897 when the first film was shot in New Mexico.
His second book covers the history of New Mexico movie theatres which began around 1900. The first theatre in the state and one of Albuquerque’s first theatres is still in use, but not as a theatre.
Living in Santa Fe, Jeff admits his third book “100 Things” was easier to compose than the others and that visiting the Harrell House Bug Museum is on his list of must-dos while visiting the city.
