Animal Humane NM improves lives of animals through sheltering, adoption, and community education

Doggie Dash & Dawdle is Animal Humane New Mexico‘s largest fundraiser of the year that’s focused on improving the lives of cats and dogs across the state. Founded in 1965, the nonprofit organization Animal Humane New Mexico serves over 10,000 at-risk and homeless cats and dogs every year.

The Doggie Dash includes two timed dashes and a mile dawdle. There will also be a beer garden, marketplace, entertainment, and a doggie carnival. The Doggie Dash & Dawdle takes place on Sunday, November 3, 2019, at Balloon Fiesta Park.

Fundraising events and merchandising associate Madison Beets visited the set along with the Pet of the Week, a Doberman Pinscher cross named Cannoli. Cannoli is about 5-years-old and Madison explains she is a great adventurer as she loves car rides and hikes.

Animal Humane will be holding their $5 Feline Flash Sale which takes place on November 12 and 13. The sale will be happening from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at their main campus as well as their Westside Adoption Center.

As a private, nonprofit, the shelter does not receive any city, state, or federal funding and has been nationally recognized as a top U.S. charity based on financial accountability, transparency, and administrative to program cost ratios.
