Animal Humane preps for Doggie Dash & Dawdle

Animal Humane New Mexico is the state’s leading private, nonprofit animal welfare organization serving more than 10,000 homeless and at-risk dogs and cats each year. As a private and nonprofit organization, Animal Humane relies on the community to raise funds for their shelter.

Animal Humane marketing director Karolyn Winge explains that they give all cats and dogs throughout the state a second chance and they are able to do this thanks to their supporters and sponsors which includes local sports retailer Sports Sytems. Owner of Sport Systems Duane Kinsley states that the company loves to be a part of a partnership with the shelter and will be participating in their upcoming fundraiser Doggie Dash & Dawdle.

Duane also brought along his own dog Grit who participates in day play at The Center, Animal Humane’s new doggie daycare, training, and boarding facility.

Animal Humane’s largest fundraiser, Doggie Dash & Dawdle will take place on Sunday, November 3, 2019, at Balloon Fiesta Park. The event includes a 5K Dash that you can run with or without a dog as well as a one mile dawdle for all ages.

Packets pickup for the Doggie Dash & Dawdle will be on Saturday, November 2 at Sports Systems.
