Sara Rose is excited to be your living Local Guide. You can catch her weekly online video guides every Friday at 9 AM.
She was raised in Northern California until she was about fourteen years old and then moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico with her family. There she attended Manzano High School and went to CNM for her AA in Liberal Arts. In the 10 years she lived here, she dived into the world of acting for film, landing some small parts in movies and TV shows for major production companies like WB, AMC, and The History Channel.
In 2014, she left for Los Angeles to get her bachelor’s in Film and Television with an emphasis on Directing. After a year, she left LA and moved back to Albuquerque, NM where landed a job with KRQE News 13 in production. For the first two years, she worked as floor crew, and later into some technical directing for the weekend morning shows.
In 2018 she was promoted to Creative Services where the role of New Mexico Living VJ was born. Sara is busy preparing your Guide to Living Local, highlighting anything and everything that makes this state great.
If she’s not out shooting, or in the office editing her next video, she’s could be found at home playing the latest video game or in line for the next Marvel movie.
Alexis Romero was born and raised in West Texas, although New Mexico has been her home almost as long. She’s lived in Albuquerque for the past 17 years, and doesn’t go a day without being in awe of those breathtaking New Mexico sunsets!
Alexis has worked as an actress in the film industry since 2016. She has appeared in many local commercials, and independent films such as Aurora’s Law, with Quinton Aaron and Steven Michael Quezada.
She is on the governing board of Evolv Strong gym and is very active in their fitness family, having co-hosted their annual fitness competition numerous times, which is the largest one held in the state of New Mexico.
Community involvement and giving back is also very important to her. She has worked with Carenet Crisis Pregnancy Centers as a volunteer counselor since 2011.
Alexis’ greatest joy is spending time with her children and making memories as a family. She also loves to get outdoors when she has an opportunity, whether it’s a pickup game of basketball, hiking the Sandia foothills, or walking along the Rio Grande. Shopping with girlfriends, endless cups of coffee, traveling, ice cream, and anything fuchsia, are some of Alexis’ favorite things!
